The Spirit of Whitby is proud to unveil our exclusive hand-drawn doodle map – a lovingly detailed celebration of our iconic seaside town.
Every twist and turn of Whitby is captured in this one-off commission, from the towering Whitby Abbey and the eerie Screaming Tunnel, to the Captain Cook Memorial standing watch over the harbour. But it doesn’t stop at the famous sights – woven into the design are some of the town’s best-kept secrets: winding snickets, tucked-away viewpoints, and plenty of beloved haunts where locals and visitors gather.
You’ll spot favourite pubs such as The Duke of York, perched above the harbour with its sea-soaked history; the legendary Black Horse Inn, where the past seems to linger in every beam; and cosy gems like The Endeavour – the perfect place for a pint after exploring the cobbles. Cafés, chippies, and family-run shops also find their place, giving the map its lived-in, Whitby soul.
Hand-drawn by international artist Dave Draws, each doodle is full of character and charm, offering something new every time you look. The design has been carefully reproduced as a print on luxurious 400gsm art board, ensuring rich detail, durability, and a true collector’s feel.
